A new structure enables downsizing clamp cylinder Overall length reduced by 49 mm max. Switch operability is improved when changing the arm opening angle. A model with a manual lock handle is available (lock specification).

The cylinder and the clamping unit are integrated into one unit to reduce design and assembly work. The guide pins and piping port are mountable in 3 directions to allow various types of auto switches to be mounted.

With up to 16 different mounting dimensions per cylinder type, and a wide range of nominal pressures, piston diameters and strokes, clamp cylinders can be perfectly matched to each application.

When a directional control valve (DCV) is activated, the clamp cylinder extends first, then by further action of the DCV the work cylinder retracts. This cyclic operation ensures optimal positioning of the workpiece. The clamping force is controlled to prevent damage when the cylinder is retracted, and to guarantee a high level of clamping accuracy and stability.
