Pneumatic Link Clamp
The screw-in link clamp with flange finds application where lower clamping forces suffice and the workpiece has to be accessed frequently to place it or remove it.17.pneumatic link clamp In this case the link mechanism offers significant advantages compared to swing clamps of the same size: The linear down clamping travel and the 90deg swing movement can be achieved without the workpiece having to be removed. This makes it possible to create a simple, compact and cost effective jig.
Moreover, the optimum force to opening ratio is achieved. The built-in sensor also helps to save on energy and allows for a small, space saving design. It monitors the position of the piston rod, detects the unclamp end and signals that it is in this state. This reduces the number of strokes required to open and close the clamp by as much as 30% and provides a substantial reduction in air consumption.
A clamping arm of an eccentric shape can be used with this model in order to achieve a larger opening distance. The amount of eccentricity must however not exceed the limit value shown in the table. Exceeding this limit results in a significantly increased eccentric load on the link mechanism and piston rod, which may cause malfunction.
The body is made from aluminium, anodised and possesses a HART-COAT surface for wear resistance. The piston rod is made from steel, blued and polished. The body has 2 ports for Clamping and Unclamping.
